Project Description
This project involved the creation of a unique office meeting room within an industrial office space, located in a dynamic and modern commercial environment. Our goal was to design a distinctive meeting room that harmonized with the surrounding industrial aesthetic, while offering privacy and visual interest. The meeting room was constructed using a combination of glass panels and metal framing, incorporating an innovative feature: metal cages filled with glass stones. This distinctive design element was intended to create a dramatic light effect, enhancing the atmosphere inside the meeting room when light filtered through from the surrounding office space.
Scope of Work
Structural Design and Glass Paneling:
• The meeting room was designed as a transparent space, enclosed by high-quality glass panels that allowed natural light to flow freely throughout the office. These panels were framed using industrial-style metal framing, complementing the building’s existing aesthetic.
• The glass panels not only offered clear views of the surrounding office area but also allowed light to pass through, contributing to an open, airy feel while maintaining the privacy needed for confidential meetings.
Metal Cages and Glass Stones:
• A key feature of the meeting room design was the use of metal cages on the exterior walls of the glass panels. These cages, made from durable metal, housed glass stones that were strategically arranged to create a unique visual effect.
• The design was intentional—light from outside the meeting room would pass through the glass stones, creating a captivating, almost ethereal lighting effect within the room. This feature provided a distinctive contrast to the surrounding industrial elements, giving the meeting room an artistic, yet professional atmosphere.
Industrial Aesthetic Integration:
• The design was fully integrated into the existing industrial office space, using materials such as exposed metal framing, glass, and stone to complement the raw, urban vibe of the environment.
• The industrial framing and glass stone cages were carefully chosen to match the broader office’s décor, ensuring that the meeting room became a focal point of the space, offering both privacy and an artistic element that would intrigue and inspire.
Lighting Effect & Ambiance:
• One of the key objectives was to enhance the lighting effect, so we focused on how natural light would interact with the glass stones inside the metal cages. As the sunlight or artificial light filtered through the stones, it created a soft, diffused glow within the meeting room, adding a layer of warmth and texture to the space.
• The light effect was designed to change throughout the day, with different angles of sunlight producing varying intensities and patterns of light. This dynamic quality made the meeting room feel alive and engaging, creating a sophisticated ambiance for meetings and presentations.
Key Features
Glass Panels and Metal Framing:
• The meeting room’s design featured floor-to-ceiling glass panels that were framed with industrial-style metal, creating a transparent, yet private, space that felt both open and secluded. Achieving the Desired Lighting Effect:
• Creating the desired lighting effect with the glass stones required precise planning and testing to ensure the stones were arranged in such a way that the light would diffuse correctly. Adjusting the placement and number of stones to achieve the perfect balance of light and shadow was a crucial part of the design process.
Material Selection:
• Choosing the right materials for both aesthetics and functionality was key. The metal framing needed to be robust and support the glass panels securely, while the glass stones needed to be both visually appealing and functional in terms of light diffusion. Our team carefully selected each material to ensure it met the design specifications.

The completed office meeting room now serves as both a functional workspace and a visually striking design feature. The combination of glass panels, industrial metal framing, and the innovative glass stone cages creates a dynamic and engaging environment, where natural light filters through to create unique lighting effects that change throughout the day.
